The SBM 1 is designed for insulation of long rods with varying cross-sections, especially circuit tubes. Because of its holding device, it is possible to tape circuit tube with curved shapes.
Up to 2 tapes can be processed, with either identical or different material qualities.
This machine is executed as an I-Axis NC machine in accordance to the respective regulations. It is possible to process different tape materials, preferably paper tapes.
Furthermore, the winding speed can be adapted to the necessary operating conditions, due to the fact of the stepless electronic regulation of number of turns.

The innovative development of Formcoil tapeing machine to the new 6-axis rod taping system SDB-A.
The SDB-A is designed for automatic isolation of molded bars with band-shaped Isoliermaterialbandrollen, particularly suitable for turbo generator and bars.
The semi-automatic taping form of bars represents a cost-effective alternative to existing manual taping. The bar taping system all common insulating tapes can be processed.
The band Roller runners have a high-precision wear-free braking system that a continuous constant tape tension guaranteed. The band overlap is continuously adjustable.
Through the use of six servo-controlled axes can all rod geometries, with axes of curvature can be isolated in large work area.


SDBA 4500

The innovative development is the taping machine SDB-A 4500 equipped with a movable working platform “plateau” that is divided in two separate working areas. The platform is mounted on rails and can be moved under hydraulic power from the right to the left side or vice versa in order to provide the needed working areas: one for preparing/loading and the other one for the taping process.
The operating areas belong to the taping process are generally protected with rolling gates although the complete operating process including the loading and taping process can be basically performed on the entire platform (9).
This means that the loading area will be alternately formed by the left or right driven out plateau area and can be used as a freely accessible area for the loading or unloading process. The advantage is a higher labour productivity. The taping machine operates on the principle of resting workpiece and moving tool.
The actual taping process is carried out full automatically by a rotating winding head that moves horizontally and with a precision contouring due to three NC controlled servo drives (extendable on request).
Primary operation and monitoring functions (on/out, open the door, fault messages, etc.) are executed with the control cabinet. All other operation and monitoring functions as well as the teach-process and the programming of the corresponding NC program sequences according to the winding component are carried out due to a mobile panel.
All previously entered program sequences can be retrieved for an exactly identical rod type using the terminal panel.
