The tape coming from the supply drum is fed through a pair of scissors and over the measuring disc to the magazine. As soon as the required length of tape is on the winding magazine, the scissors automatically cut the tape. The respective length of tape can be easily set using the counter. While the magazine is being filled, the body is wound tightly and evenly from the winding magazine, which is driven by a gear wheel.

Depending on the cross-section of the workpiece and the tape material, the magazine is stopped by an adjustable tape brake.
