ATM 550

The ATM 550 pay-off is a driven wire pay-off frame for large wire spools.
A constant wire pull-off force is achieved via a spring-loaded dancer system and an electronically controlled braking system. Hysteresis brakes are used as control brakes. The dancer position is detected optoelectronically (optical sensor, distance measurement) and transferred to the braking control system and a corresponding braking current is generated.
The controlled braking system enables high rewinding speeds with sufficient winding quality.
In the event of a wire break or end of wire, a quick stop is carried out via a wire break circuit.
An “EMERGENCY STOP” is implemented via a permanent magnet brake.
The entire wire pay-off is surrounded by a safety cage. Winding only takes place when the cage is properly closed!
