Applying the bandage made of insulating tape to trapezoidal and looping spools has previously been a very costly process. The BD-LP 1500 was developed to find an efficient yet inexpensive mechanization for this. It can be used to process all common insulating tapes. The machine is economical to use both for series production and for repair work. Looping spools up to a length of 1.5m can be bandaged. Longer spools are possible on request. In this system, the band head is designed with three slip-on roller systems. This makes it possible to apply up to three bands to the spool at the same time. In addition, the bandaging head is positioned on a rotary table. The bandaging head can rotate 310°, which allows the entire spool to be bandaged. It is transported through the band head using a spool guide and bandaged into the curve by rotating the band head by 180°. The other leg of the coil is then transported in the opposite direction and also bandaged. Integrated band head supports prevent the bandaging vibrations that occur during the insulation process and thus enable an exact winding pattern. The band is fed continuously.
The electronic speed control allows the continuously adjustable bandaging speed to be optimally adapted to the working conditions.
The band head is controlled via a PLC control with servo motor controller. To achieve a simpler and clearer operation of the programming, the control panel is equipped with a touchscreen display. To ensure general safety regulations, the winding system can optionally be supplied with a safety fence, light barriers or light scanner.
