HBK 40-S / ATM-800P

The newly developed automatic taping machine HBK40 is used for the automatic taping of copper wire in a continuous process as part of a winding system. The machine is equipped with a hanging taping head that is freely movable in the vertical direction. At the same time, the head can also be moved in the horizontal direction. This ensures that the wire can be taped correctly, regardless of the vertical or horizontal position of the wire in the downstream machine.

In addition, the HBK40 is also independent of the winding speed of the downstream machine. Via a high-resolution rotary encoder, the wire speed is detected, forwarded to the taping machine and the speed of the taping head is controlled. As a result, the tape overlap is kept constant and is thus independent from the winding speed.

The tape winding head is equipped with two taping roll-off systems. The tape tension control is realized optional with an electric hysteresis brake system or with a mechanical tape brake system. Thoroughly tested tape winding system has shown accurate, tearing- and fold-free taping results using various taping materials. The design of the tape winding head offers a particularly continuous and smooth performance even at high operating speed.
